This place is great I’ve been here many times with my family. The staff truly care about taking care of you and making sure you feel welcomed. I would recommend this place to anyone and would guarantee they have a great stay. They will do their best to accommodate your every need
Stopped here for dinner on a Friday evening in June. I made the right choice to go upstairs and enjoy the copious outdoor seating. Service was fantastic. Food was even better. Only downside is that there was a busy-ish road nearby and you can hear the cars going by. Would definitely come back again any time I am near Bedford.
We didn’t stay, we only had lunch… “it’s soooo good”. Our waitress was amazing. When inquiring about certain items on the menu, She sold us on “it’s so good”… and … she wasn’t lying. Literally, we were saying It’s so good all throughout our meal! Thanks for the amazing service and great lunch!
We had a great server and meal Tuesday evening. Wife had crab cakes and I had prime rib. One suggestion though would be new steak knives, the butter knife was actually sharper. We'll be back, but I'll bring my own knife!
What a great restaurant! It was like stepping back in time and the staff were all so nice. My husband had the Jean Bonnet French Dip sandwich and I had the Mandarin Chicken Salad with the raspberry walnut vinaigrette. The portion sizes were generous and it was one of the best salads I have eaten. The sandwich was delicious as well. We also ordered the Bavarian Pretzels appetizer. They were very tasty. Soft warm pretzels with salt and pepper and a lovely honey mustard dipping sauce. After we were finished, we went outside to say hello to their goats. This place is worth the stop.
Just stopped in for an early dinner. Went with the bison burger, Would definitely get it again, the staff were very nice and professional. The atmosphere was very nice and historic but we kept. Would be a great idea for a date night or just for some delicious food. Will be stopping here again!
We absolutely adore this place and will drive round trip from Lancaster (6 hours round trip) to eat here. This time we spent the night ( for the 2nd time). We started off with dinner which has never ever disappointed us. Our waitress was Cameron. We had her before and she is always a delight! Our room was room #1 and it was really nice. I just want to put out there, though, that we had stayed in room #2 before and it was a little quieter ( road noise). All of the rooms are beautifully historic and very reasonably priced! As for breakfast...oh my, was that good! It is the chef's choice and both stays' breakfasts were a great surprise. Our waitress was Karen, who we've also had before and she was great! Jean Bonnet was only minutes away from Shawnee State Park. No ghostly activity this time, but the other time we stayed was with our paranormal team. We asked the question, "what was the rebellion about?" About 30 seconds later, on our portal, came the quite clear answer, "taxes".
